mmm..I think that is difficult to understand it and appreciation this photo shot.. It should be observe well, and give a serious and important comments about it.. Mine is that I like your job so much because it is so simply but also so complex..
as a photography student i know why cameras on phones are shit.
the lens's used on phone cameras aren't designed well. i have a very odd film camera that i treasure however even as an SLR it may be no better quality in it's age, then some very good phone cameras but the lens is very good giving better, crisper and cleaner results.
don't call me narrow minded, it's narrow minded to love every DD you see BECAUSEITMUSTBEBEAUTIFUL!!!! ... grow up it's not narrow minded at all to have preference in art or what you perceive as art and like many others i'm sick of this stuff being a DD it's a interesting photo, but it's not good just different. and bad quality
has it ever crossed your narrow mind that people don't always like what you like?
it's not the size, that what was trying to say about my old one. my point is with a DD surely quality does kinda matter, the lens isn't made for good images thats why it's so grainy and low quality its an award for photography, and it was taken on a camera phone, can you not see how ironic and piss taking that is.
By that definition you could say all vintage cameras and their resulting photos are crap too as they're old, incredibly redundant technology with badly defined, grainy quality. I doubt we'll ever agree on anything so at least agree to disagree. Daily deviations aren't awards, they're 24 hour features [link]
not really in fact i was explaining how vintage camera's have qualities that make them over come this, like good lens's and a warm homely feel to the image but never mind.
your right, i doubt we will ever agree because you seem to have it in your head that a good image is all about flat out how it looks, i like depth grain to be used as an iso count rather then a bad lens and a like clear focus.
i've done things like this before and i delete them because they shouldn't be viewed as photography.
also that link says: an image which they found impressive or otherwise interesting enough to deserve being brought to the attention of the community-at-large.
i don't think it is that, and it is an award, a community award, given as a feature. you don't just feature the image, you award the image with a DD.
